Ingrained in aesthetics and elements from the 70s, Nike’s latest “Athletic Department” collection has spanned a number of timeless constructions. Recently, a “Sport Royal” palette joined the ever-expanding catalog via the Air Force 1.
From the exposed foam at the tongue to the block letter branding and quarter stitching, the entirety of the Bruce Kilgore design endears itself to decades past. A clad-cream outfit assumes the smooth leather base layer in tandem with the laces and inner lining while the pale vanilla tongue mirrors the Blazer’s construction. Vibrant royal hues illuminate the profile swooshes, heel tabs and tread while an overtly aged midsole compliments the old-school ensemble underfoot.
