The Women’s Air Jordan 1 High MM Takes On A “Royal Toe” Ensemble

feature image

The last handful of years have seen NIKE, Inc. invest more time, energy, and money into their offerings to women. One such effort on this front includes the Air Jordan 1 High MM, a fashion-forward take on Peter Moore’s iconic design.

Exclusive to women, the high-top retro brings experimental paneling to Michael Jordan’s original signature model. Reminiscent of pairs by the late Virgil Abloh and Teyana Taylor, the sneaker features non-traditional leather overlays to the Air Jordan 1. A “Royal Toe” finish lands on the latest option from Brand Jordan, with tumbled leather appearing atop a much more breathable textile base. Quarter panels and detailing along the tongue opt for an enlarged build, as do the profile swooshes. Each leather panel across the upper also indulges in “unrefined” edges, injecting a “do-it-yourself” aesthetic into the women’s Air Jordan. Foam tongues work in-tandem with fabric collars for increased comfort in comparison to the silhouette’s standard construction. Underfoot, the sneaker – which comes in a new box laden with blueprint graphics – enjoys a tried-and-proven sole unit.

Enjoy official photos of the women’s pair ahead, and anticipate a nike.com launch before 2023 ends.
