Over the last 40 years, the Nike Air Force 1 Low has undergone countless updates that’ve distanced it from its origins as a performance-basketball sneaker.
Recently, Bruce Kilgore’s iconic design has undergone a waterproof-modification that brings protection to the silhouette without sacrificing style. Already seen in “University Gold” and “Black,” the updated Air Force 1 will soon be available in a grey color scheme. A tumbled leather-reminiscent material takes over the upper, forgoing perforations at the toe box and stitching on the profiles. Tongues denote the pair’s special “Waterproof” capabilities, with branding on the sockliner and spine opting for standard finishes. Underfoot, the “presidential” shoes’ sole unit matches the off white upper, although the outsole favors a semi-translucent finish that brings more personality to the waterproof offering.
Enjoy official photos of the pair ahead. No firm nike.com launch date has been shared by the brand, but that’s likely to change soon.
