The adidas Yeezy line has delivered some of the more exciting footwear product of the last decade. As the partnership between Ye and the Three Stripes comes to an end, more unreleased styles continue to drop. Case in point?: The Yeezy 500 Tactical Boot.
First seen clearly in July, the pair brings a tall, military garb-inspired silhouette to the popular adidas Yeezy 500’s sole unit. The bulbous tooling – which was borrowed from the Foot You Wear series that formed part of several performance models from the 1990s – delivers tried-and-proven cushioning and traction to a suede and textile upper. Tactical boots aren’t new to the Yeezy line, but previous styles have fallen in line with more traditional boot construction. The being formerly known as “Kanye West,” however, has never been coy about innovation, pushing the boundaries of the norm. Akin to other Yeezy boots, the latest tactical option has previously appeared in a uniform “Sand” finish. “Utility Black” has also taken over Ye’s rugged design.
Enjoy detailed photos of the pair ahead, and anticipate a wide retailer launch on August 14th. The Yeezy 500 Tactical Boot is priced at $275 USD.
