Michael Le We first caught a glimpse at the adidas D.O.N. Issue #5 at the brand’s “Remember The Why” event earlier in the year. And though the Three Stripes have yet to confirm when exactly the signature will release, it’s likely we’re not far off from its debut, as Donovan Mitchell recently laced up yet another forthcoming colorway.
Spotted on the athlete during his recent trip to China, this newly-revealed adidas D.O.N. Issue #5 is a sizable departure from the “Footwear White/Core Black” colorway previewed during All-Star Weekend. Here, the shoe’s upper is predominantly dyed a deep purple, whose color becomes progressively darker as it transitions from the forefoot to the heel. Elsewhere, black dresses the lace unit and mesh vents; white paints the lateral and medial stripes; and pinks highlight not only the branding but also the lower midfoot and topmost eyelets.
