A gem of the 1990s, the Nike Air Max CB 94 is set to return in its original “Black/Pure Purple/White” color scheme.
Last seen in 2021, the sneaker speaks to a different era in Nike Basketball’s history, one in which performance footwear was taller and more rugged. Construction on the upcoming retro falls in line with Tinker Hatfield’s original design guidelines, although netizens who’ve gotten early pairs of the launch have taken to social media to express a dip in quality. The bulk of the upper features a simple “Black” and “White” makeup, with nubuck, leather, mesh, and other materials claiming real estate on the silhouette. “Pure Purple” flair animates the tongue and inner-bootie, with a faint shade appearing at the Air Max bubble underfoot.
Enjoy detailed photos of the pair ahead, and find the shoes available via Nike SNKRS tomorrow, August 25th. The “Black/Pure Purple” style retails for $170 USD.
