The Nike Dunk Mid doesn’t enjoy the same fanfare as its shorter counterpart, but it’s released in some compelling styles in the past.
Recently, the mid-top version of Peter Moore’s iconic design appeared in a black and green color scheme. At quick glance, the ensemble seems like your run-of-the-mill “dark” option for fall, but closer inspection reveals something more special. Leather construction across the upper takes on a pitch-dark finish, with overlays around the forefoot, along the tongue, and throughout the heel donning a plethora of scales. An Air Force 1 Low recently surfaced with similar design cues, revealing part of the Swoosh’s plans for Halloween 2023. “Nike” text on the tongue label opts for a rough font, complementing the spooky sight depicted on the Nike Dunk‘s sockliners. Jack-o’-lanterns also claim real estate on the insoles, while goblin green outsoles deliver an abstract pattern that cements the shoes as ready for the scariest time of the year.
Enjoy photos of the pair ahead, and anticipate a Nike SNKRS launch on October 26th.
