Sneaker News Union Los Angeles adds another storied chapter to their book with Jordan Brand by launching a sentimental capsule titled “The Summer Of 96”.
Inspired by the Brooklyn summer in 1996 during which the Union co-founders met, Chris and Beth have created a truly unique spin on the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG by added a 360-degree woven panel – a nod to the Air Footscape Woven. Additionally, they add their touch of aging via the choice of off-white and pale yellow shades, while the UN/LA label sits just below the wolf grey Wings logo on the collar and above the Swoosh logo.
Alongside the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG is the women’s exclusive Elevate model; this second pair is enhanced by a more obvious usage of Kinetic Green and a classic gum sole.
Union Los Angeles has officially launched their Air Jordan 1, but select Jordan retailers globally as well as SNKRS will officially release the shoes on August 26th, 2023 for an MSRP of $200. See the store list ahead to enter as many raffles you can while entries are accepted.
