The Nike Air Max 1 ’86 Ushers Back The OG “Obsidian” Colorway

In honor of Air Max Day earlier this year, Nike remodeled the Air Max 1 to better resemble the icon’s earliest appearance. And after a few months since its last release, the “Big Bubble” is making yet another return in the OG “Obsidian” colorway.

The Nike Air Max 1 ’86 “Obsidian” further remembers the silhouette’s roots, near perfectly recreating the original colorway. The titular blues are applied atop the leathers of the Swoosh and mudguard, while the adjacent suedes opt for the usual light grey finish. White, then, helps round out the pair via the mesh inserts, midsole, and lace unit, contrasting the pops of red that mark not only the outsole but also the various instances of branding.

Enjoy an official look at the Nike Air Max 1 ’86 “Obsidian” right here. These are expected to release on September 9th via both Nike SNKRS as well as select retailers.

In other news, official images of the Nike Dunk Low Hangul Day surfaced yesterday morning.
