2020 marked the last we saw of the Jordan Spizike, albeit not in the form to which we were well-accustomed. That year, the Jumpman paired the Spizike with the sole of the Air Max 270, a combination that, while unique, was evidently short-lived. Now, three whole revolutions later, the brand is putting this model behind them and bringing the hybrid sneaker back to its roots.
For its first appearance in years, the Jordan Spizike is seemingly referencing a much-beloved colorway of the Air Jordan 4: the “Black Cat.” A fitting choice given the silhouette’s ties to MJ’s fourth signature, the colorway is easily applied to the hybrid’s upper, dressing every single fixture in a dark black shade. Even the Elephant Print follows suit, with its cracks dressed in a slightly darker, glossier finish similar to that of the adjacent netting and midsole.
Enjoy a closer look at the Jordan Spizike “Black Cat” in GS sizes via the official images ahead. While a firm release date has not yet been confirmed, reports suggest that we’ll be seeing these sometime this Fall.
In other news, the Air Jordan 11 Low IE Black/White is coming soon.
