This Nike SB Leo React Is Reminiscent Of 2002’s “Flash” SB Dunks

NIKE, Inc. is no stranger to self-referencing. Over the course of its history, the Oregon-based conglomerate has revisited color schemes across products, categories, and brands, delivering compelling styles in different forms.

Recently, the fairly-novel Nike SB Leo React emerged with two-tone uppers reminiscent of the “Orange Flash” SB Dunk Low from October 2002. A simple offering in the early days of the brand’s skate-obsessed empire, the “Orange Flash/Black” style brought an eye-catching color arrangement and high-quality materials to Nike’s big bet. Leo Baker’s offering sees the same construction as its 21-year-old predecessor, serving as a pleasant surprise to those familiar with the relatively obscure pair. The modern Nike React-cushioned skate shoe, however, features a taller trim and details specific to Baker’s style and performance needs. The similarities, however, are too close to ignore.

Enjoy official photos of the pair ahead, and anticipate a nike.com launch before 2023 ends.

In related sneaker news, the J BALVIN x Air Jordan 3 is set to debut soon.
