After previewing Converse’s “Mi Gente” collection earlier this week, the sneaker ecosystem has begun to unveil its procured ensembles of footwear aimed at celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month. For New Balance, this comes in the form of platforming four-time MLB All-Star Francisco Lindor.
Taking on three different iterations of his New Balance Lindor 2, the “Vintage Puerto Rico” collection extends an off-field training model and a duo of cleated options affixed with either metal or TPU spiked plates underfoot. The FuelCell cushioned offering explores a titular homage to the Puerto Rican flag as the cracked-earth overlays, mesh upper and tongue are stamped with a uniform ice blue treatment. Crisp white mid-foot straps blend with the cream accents of the profile N logos and the midsole while striking red contrasts illuminate the tips of the laces, tongue tab logo, heel counter and the fingerprinted ends of the upper support straps.
The New Balance Lindor 2 “Vintage Puerto Rico” collection is scheduled to release tomorrow, September 15th. In the meantime, enjoy a detailed look a the trio of silhouettes below.
In other news, the Nike Book 1 has been officially unveiled.
