As the Nike Air Force 1 Low continues to celebrate its 40th anniversary, the silhouette keeps reimagining itself via refreshing styles.
Recently, Bruce Kilgore’s iconic design from 1983 (the taller Air Force 1 debuted a year earlier) appeared in a women-oriented off white ensemble. Leather uppers and rubber sole units keep things understated, allowing for profile swooshes and heel tabs to revel in the spotlight with their pink tints. Furthermore, a series of rose gold miniature swoosh accessories appear along the sidewalls, adorning Kilgore’s “presidential” silhouette. Top eyelets and lace dubraes also opt for a similar metallic finish, further distancing the sneaker from its performance basketball roots. Branding on the tongue label and sockliner receive a faint pink makeover that cements the low-top Air Force 1 as a women’s-exclusive option.
