Jared Ebanks 2022 brought about a mighty resurgence for the New Balance 580, anchored by an endless stream of inline offerings. For its latest ensemble, the Rollbar-assisted silhouette has returned to shelves clothed in a retro “Vintage Teal” execution.
Once a staple on the streets of Harajuku, the circa 2007 silhouette leans toward a muted pastel palette as dark teal shades overcome a dominant majority of the upper real estate. Swatches of light mint accent the underlying mesh base layer while vibrant cream hits illuminate the laces and various leather trims. Surrounded by a clad tan midsole, the bright yellow Rollbar animates the tooling underfoot while drops of dark raspberry fill the mid-foot and tongue tab.
