After leading the Lioaning Fly Leopards to their third-ever CBA Championship in May, Guo Ailun’s superstar status in China was only further cemented. Becoming Jordan Brand’s first international athlete in 2017, the eight-time All-Star has since added the recently released Air Jordan 38 to his ever-growing roster of Player Exclusives.
Transitioning from a turquoise to teal-centric tint throughout his journey between the Air Jordan 36 to the 37 Low, Michael Jordan’s 38th signature silhouette returns to Ailun’s synonymous sky blue tint. As such, a titular light blue hue consumes the medial Cushlon wedge at the lateral and medial side, surrounded by a uniform jade ice midsole and heel counter. As the Pantone palette concentrates along the X-Plate sole unit, the intricately embroidered upper shines in a clad white composition while a marbled detailing ascertains the supple tongue construction. Faint marigold contrasts illuminate the upper’s colorless treatment across trim of the tongue and the tread underfoot while Ailun and Jumpman tongue insignias achieve an iridescent dark jade finish.
