Nike Prepares For The College Football Playoffs With A Gilded Air Trainer 1

feature image

Slated to kick off in late December, the College Football Playoffs for the 2023 season will feature the nation’s best football programs going head to head, with trendy new contenders out West causing a bit of a buzz.

Joining the recently unveiled Air Trainer 1 in black/gold is a white-based counterpart, equally featuring gilded accents by way of the chiseled Swoosh logo, plush interior lining, and midsole accents. The standout detail of this cross-training classic is the fabric adhesives used at the heel and tongue — a platform for the various patches that will accompany this release. The removable patches include Nike brand logos and the official logo of the College Football Playoffs, which also appears on the insole.

A release date has yet to be confirmed, but it’s likely that this Air Trainer 1 will not be available until the actual games near.

If you’re more of a fan of the pro ranks, not to worry: Nike also made an Air Trainer 1 “Super Bowl LVIII” in two colorways.
