The Air Jordan 1 Low OG “White/University Red” is set to launch on October 13th. First teased in May, the sneaker has finally surfaced via official photos.
Reminiscent of its tallest counterpart’s original run from the 1980s, the unreleased pair features a “colorless” leather base that sets the stage for a number of ruby-colored accents. Chicago Bulls-appropriate red animates everything from the “NIKE AIR” on the tongue label to the upper heel panel. Profile swooshes and outsoles also indulge in “University Red” flair, as did the Air Jordan 1 “White/Metallic Red” option that launched in 2016. Similarly, the Air Jordan 1 Low OG last appeared in the same two-tone arrangement in 2014, although the newer retro’s shape is closer to the original from 1985. The shoebox even comes branded with “1985 Air Jordan 1” text, signaling the sneaker’s return-to-OG-form, an initiative that began in the mid-2010s.
Enjoy a closer look at the pair ahead, as you wait to secure your size via Nike SNKRS on October 13th. The “White/University Red” retro is priced at $140 USD.
