The Nike Cortez, Too, Is Helping Celebrate Hangul Day

The Nike Cortez, Too, Is Helping Celebrate Hangul Day

Hangul Day is fast approaching, and there’s likely no brand better prepared than Nike.

In addition to what’s already been revealed, the Swoosh will also be adding the Cortez to their celebration. But though a nod to the same Korean holiday, the iconic silhouette boasts a colorway quite a bit different than that of its counterparts. In place of sesame-like tones, the suedes here are dressed in a dark brown, complementing the woven label along the tongue and the stripe across the midsole. Cream outsoles sit right underfoot, while the Swoosh, tongue, inner lining, and contrast stitching opt for a more neutral white finish. Finally, the pair is rounded out with several nods to “Hangul Day,” which sit across the insoles, heel tab, and the custom hangtag.

Enjoy a closer look at the Nike Cortez “Hangul Day” right here. As the holiday takes place on October 9th, it’s likely we’ll see these on shelves very soon. For now, sit tight as we await further confirmation.
