The New Balance 2002R is ready for fall.
Over the past month, the revived running sneaker from the late oughts has emerged in muted color schemes and with GORE-TEX lining. The latest proposition from the Boston-based brand sees a “Tobacco” and “Black” color scheme across the hybrid design. Uppers aren’t protected against the elements with CORDURA fabric or GORE-TEX membranes, but the pair’s use of suede delivers better insulation than standard takes featuring exposed mesh at the toe and profiles. Sole units borrowed from the New Balance 860v2 opt for a mostly-dark arrangement, with Ndurance traction bringing a light brown underfoot. Together, each aforementioned component helps usher in New Balance‘s lineup for the coldest months of the year.
Enjoy detailed photos of the pair ahead, as you wait for a newbalance.com launch.
