Most recently making an appearance via the feet of current NBA stars at Nike’s World Basketball Festival at Lincoln Center, the latest addition to Nike’s expanse into the Dad Shoe market has seen the V2K Run appear in a selective number of ensembles. Effectively harkening back to the aesthetics of the Y2K era, the Runtekk solution now extends a murky color blocking infused with bright hits for night-time jogs.
Boasting a reflective mesh base that’s as eye-catching as a traffic cone in the dead of night, the surrounding leather overlays, tongue fastener and mid-foot TPU sidewall assume a bevy of dark navy accents that further deepens the tone of the upper. Accented by “Burgundy” treated tongue and pull tabs, the color-matched profile swoosh is illuminated by a thin “Volt” trim. Underfoot, the crisp white Cushlon sole unit is stricken with a lasting wine red heel while shadow grey contrasts accent the shank and heel clip in closing.
