Reigning No. 3 overall pick Scoot Henderson has had an unconventional rise to the NBA after opting to play for the G League Ignite team and sacrificing his collegiate eligibility. After PUMA signed the explosive young guard while he was dominating the development league in 2022, Henderson recently showed up to his first-ever NBA Media Day with his first signature silhouette in tow.
Henderson’s signature silhouette has been teased ever since details of his contract with PUMA were disclosed last June. Joining the likes of LeBron James, Scoot will become just the seventh player in League history to make his NBA debut with his first signature silhouette – the PUMA Scoot Zero. A play on his jersey number that he’s dawned since hooping with Game Elite on the AAU circuit, the silhouette is seemingly constructed of knit mesh and TPU overlays while the PUMA Formstrip has been reimagined with a lime green flame. The chosen colorway itself amplifies a peach-orange upper with vibrant red overlays and a pastel purple outsole.
Henderson initially signed on to the burgeoning basketball roster before he even declared for the 2023 Draft. In conjunction with his draft selection in June, the German-based sportswear giant positioned the 19-year-old to headline the introduction of the All-Pro Nitro. The PUMA Zeros also give us our first look at Scoot’s signature logo – which stamps the tongue tabs with a jet-black “S” insignia.
Specific technical details and release information has yet to be revealed. In the meantime, the PUMA Scoot Zero can be seen in first-look imagery below.
