Jared Ebanks Over the course of the Fall season, Jordan Brand has looked to the iconic photo of a rookie Michael Jordan outstretched in front of the Chicago skyline. Collecting the hues associated with the sunlit background for a range of footwear offerings, the latest assumes a “Mauve” treatment throughout the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG.
Coated with the same tint that filled the vamp of the Air Jordan 1 Low “Sky J Mauve”, the two-toned ensemble stretches the latter’s faint hue across the various upper overlays and profile swooshes while stretching further color matches along the laces, inner lining and tongue tab. A colorless background allows for the aforementioned hue to revel in the spotlight while further cirsp white contrasts illuminate the midsole and the collar’s winged insignia.
