Michael Le In terms of performance sneakers, Nike is most certainly in a class of their own. Several of the fastest runners in the world, for example, proudly flaunt the Swoosh, breaking records in offerings the likes of the Air Zoom Alphafly NEXT%. But as well-represented as they are on the world stage, never has the brand forgotten about the athletes at the entry level.
And with sustainability becoming more and more important by the day, it was only a matter of time before Nike introduced the Interact Run. At its very accessible, $85 dollar price point, the model provides Earth conscious runners with an option more affordable than what’s currently on the market. Made with at least 25% recycled material by weight, the construction features a solution-dyed Flyknit yarn that’s composed of 85% recycled polyester. What’s more, production waste is kept to a minimum: the injection process for the midsole and the Flyknit weaving, for example, are much more efficient compared to compression molding and traditional upper manufacturing, respectively.
