At the Nike World Basketball Festival this Summer, the Beaverton brand unveiled its Holiday 2023 collection featuring an ensemble of “Baroque Brown” lifestyle silhouettes and the first-ever release of the Nike Kobe 6 Protro “Reverse Grinch”. Just a few months ahead of the gift-giving season, the Swoosh has pulled out one last present from under the tree, the iconic Nike KD 3 “Christmas”.

Heralded as one of the most popular colorways in his expansive signature line, the vibrant yellow outfit initially surfaced back in August and has since been confirmed thanks to official imagery. Originally appearing on shelves in 2010, the low-top trim rode along with Kevin Durant on Christmas Day that year when he scored 44 points against the Denver Nuggets.

Much like its previously released “All-Star” and upcoming “Aunt Pearl” counterparts, the titular holiday treatment returns in the silhouette’s exact specifications from the turn of the decade. A smooth, full-grain leather consumes a dominant majority of the upper, anchoring its forefoot’s Flywire construction in a gleaming finish. “Vibrant Yellow” then cures the near-entirety of the silhouette, from the upper and tongue to the soft nylon inner lining and the Zoom Air cushioning system underfoot while “Photo Blue” and “Team Orange” accents illuminate the profile swooshes, tongue tab, Flywire branding and the video game controller buttons that come affixed to the heel.

The Nike KD 3 Retro “Christmas” is scheduled to release on December 23rd for a retail price of $130. In the meantime, the pair can be seen in detailed images ahead.
