The Nike Zoom Vomero 5 debuted in 2010 as a performance-running offering. More than a decade later, the silhouette has found a second life as a lifestyle staple, bringing runner-approved comfort to the masses.
The last year has seen the Cushlon-donning sneaker emerge in dozens of styles ranging from monochromatic to multi-color. Positioned strategically as an option in the unshakeable “dad shoe” trend, the fifth Nike Zoom Vomero features breathable mesh uppers and wide tooling to fit a wide range of foot sizes. The sneaker’s post-A-COLD-WALL* life has regularly catered to women, bringing soft tones to the silhouette. A recently-surfaced pair seemingly adds another tally to the Zoom Vomero 5‘s catalog for women as it dons a clean “Blue Tint” finish. “Obsidian” and “Team Red” accents join the mix, animating everything from profile swooshes to reflective panels.
Underfoot, Cushlon foam works together with Zoom Air units to create a responsive and comfortable ride. (Zoom Air technology is still used on marquee running models like the Nike AlphaFly 3, the shoe worn to break the marathon world record.) The midsole favors a “Sail” makeover in line with other “Neo-vintage” offerings from the Swoosh.
Enjoy an early lifestyle look at the pair ahead. No firm nike.com launch details have been disclosed by the brand, but that’s likely to change soon. As with other Zoom Vomero 5’s, the “Blue Tint/Team Red” style should be priced at $160 USD when it drops.
