Band frontman Johnathon Davis frequented athletics sportswear on stage, famously donning a purple sequined tracksuit with the iconic strips running down his arms and legs. It was this casual look, typically associated with hip-hop fashion trends, that changed the perception of the nu metal genre as it shifted from leather and ripped denim to the street-friendly aesthetic.
This history makes the inaugural KoRn x adidas Originals collection that much more anticipated. On the footwear side, a Campus 00s and Supermodified is delivered, each featuring artwork from the 1996 album Life Is Peachy. Other details include a co-branded shoebox, guitar pick hangtag, and KoRn branding. Dropping in conjunction with the footwear is an apparel capsule that includes graphic t-shirts, hoodies, and two full tracksuits — including a remake of the iconic purple sequined edition.
An official release date for the adidas Korn collaboration is confirmed for October 27th, 2023; both the Campus 00s and Supermodified will launch on adidas.com, the Confirmed App, and partnering retailers.
