In the first week of October, it was revealed that the Nike Kobe 8 Protro would be taking on a graphic-coated upper inspired by his #8 and #24 jersey numbers. Introduced via a “Radiant Emerald” composition, the latest Protro silhouette from the late Kobe Bryant’s signature discography now appears in a “Court Purple” compliment.
In the realm of color blocking, the titular purple treatment instills a near-exact replica of its teal-tinted effort; exploring a blank white base layer and midsole that allows for the painted numbers to coat the engineered mesh with a fervor. Casting further vibrant violet color matches across the embroidered profile swooshes, laces and the heel’s sheath logo, the semi-translucent finish of the outsole bears witness to an accenting shade of light lilac. xf
The Nike Kobe 8 Protro “White/Court Purple” is expected to be released alongside its “Radiant Emerald” counterpart on February 8th, 2024. In the meantime, the pair can be seen below in first-look images.
