The Air Jordan 38 has yet to prove itself during the 2023-24 NBA season, but it’s quickly building a healthy roster of styles.
As November approaches, Nike, Inc. has covered Michael Jordan’s latest signature model in an Air Jordan 12 “Cherry”-like ensemble. “White” sets the stage for a plethora of “University Red” accents across the upper, with the most ruby-colored flair being concentrated throughout the shoe’s center. Pitch-“Black” contrast appears via laces, branding, and inner-lining, creating a familiar arrangement to fans of the Air Jordan series.
Elsewhere, the pair’s unique backless embroidery ups the “Cherry” ante across the profiles, which also serve as canvases to highlight #23’s performance in the 1993 NBA title run. As with some models unveiled during the recent Nike SNKRS Showcase, the “Cherry” Jordan 38 is a Tier 2 shoe, meaning it’s made of at least 20% recycled material by weight (the tongue is produced from sockliner scraps). The X-Plate-donning sole unit underfoot – which nods to the Air Jordan 8‘s straps – keep things on-theme. Several semi-transparent components reveal the rich “University Red” technology, as well as a full-length Zoom Strobel and Cushlon 3.0 foam.
Enjoy official photos of the white-and-red AJ38 ahead. The pair is set to release in Men and Big Kids’ sizing on November 7th via nike.com. Pricing arrives at $200 USD and $140 USD, respectively.
