Introducing her debut signature skating solution this past Spring, Alexis Sablone’s Converse AS-1 Pro has been privy to a restrictive amount of releases, employing just over a handful of colorways throughout the low-top trim’s early life cycle. Initially revealed in a clad-leather composition that was quickly followed by an all-out suede expedition, the CX Foam cushioned model now pairs the latter two entities together with ballistic mesh hits.
In stark contrast to the pair’s current roster of two-toned efforts, the latest ensemble employs a tonal assortment of tans. Mimicking the look of houndstooth stitching, the thick mesh base layer collects grey and cream shades within the midfoot, heel and tongue construction while the tumbled leather vamp, quarter and upper tongue are illuminated with a bright “Shifting Sand” tint. Stretching softened color matches to the laces and midsole, the reinforced leather overlays are paired with the mudguard and heel’s appearance of suede for a slightly darker “Warm Sand” accent.
Enjoy an official look at the Converse AS-1 Pro “Shifting Sand” below as we await further release details.
For more skate-ready offerings, the Futura SB Dunk Low recently surfaced in first-look imagery.
