The adidas Trae Young 3 Surfaces In A Classic “Stormtrooper” Colorway

In their second year together, Trae Young and Dejountae Murray have begun to hit their stride as the preeminent backcourt for the Atlanta Hawks. Combining for 65 points in the Hawk’s 14-point win over the Timberwolves on Monday night, Young’s greyscale signature colorway from that evening has made its way into official imagery, signaling a TBA release date.

Developing the inverse of the silhouette’s inaugural jet-black ensemble, the  now adheres to a strict “Crystal White” treatment. From the topographical sole unit to the mesh upper and presiding TPU overlays, a dominant majority of the pair’s real estate shines in colorless ambiguity – much like the armor of The Emperor’s armada in Star Wars. In contrast to the colorless surroundings, the tongue construction, inner bootie, laces and the duo of pull tabs are met with “Core Black” hits that see an iridescent finish ascertain the equally pitch-dark mid-foot 3 Stripes while an “Orbit Grey” complement engages the heel counter.

The adidas Trae Young 3 “Stormtrooper” is expected to release within the coming weeks for a retail price of $140. In the meantime, the bespoke monochrome pair can be seen ahead in detailed imagery.
