The Gallery Dept. x Vans Rowley XLR Collection Releases On November 10th

Gallery Dept. has remained a frequent collaborator in the sneaker ecosystem, cohabitating with the likes of Vans and ASICS on a number of occasions. For its latest appearance in the footwear space, the California-based brand is set to embark on its latest collaborative effort with fellow West Coast brand Vans later this week featuring the Rowley XLR.

Reimagining Geoff Rowley’s original signature in its own vein of contemporary designs, the XLR has been constructed in two contrasting palettes inspired by the skate scenes from the 90s and 2000s. Constructed with thick premium leather and suede, the latter’s neat textile remains centered on the vamp, tongue and upper collar while the remaining real estate is cured in tumbled leather.

As for the chosen colorways, the low top trim is initially executed in a Valentine’s Day reminiscent palette as rich shades of chocolate brown ascertain the mudguard, eyestay and heel overlay before stretching further color matches along the inner lining and vulcanized tread underfoot. Interrupted by a burnt orange side-stripe, the silhouette’s presiding underlays and tongue are then cast in a bright bubblegum pink accent. While crisp white laces and leather Gallery Dept. tongue tabs appear on both pairs, the second offering adheres to more primary colors as a deep blue fills the vamp, mid-foot and tongue while a vibrant red Jazz Stripe contrasts the muted grey overlays.

The Gallery Dept. x Vans Rowley XLR is scheduled to release on Friday, November 10th, for a retail price of $145. In the meantime, both pairs can be seen below in detailed imagery.
