Fresh off of the first installment underneath his high-end collaborative fashion line with ASICS featuring the GEL-Teremoa, London-based menswear designer Kiko Kostadinov recently took to Instagram to showcase his second joint effort with the Japan-based footwear brand.
Slated for a debut in 2024, the sub-banner’s latest take on the GEL-Teremoa strays from the model’s inaugural tumbled leather construction and instead opts for a mesh-dominant tooling. Draped across the upper from the toe to heel, the breathable mesh textile amplifies the brand’s logo with a bulbous aesthetic while the quarter and the vamp’s singular panels are anchored in a contrasting flat leather treatment. Underfoot, the structured heel counter receives the same glossy finish as its early November counterpart.
Embarking upon two distinct colorways, one pair echos a pitch-dark ethos as a gloomy burgundy hue injects the mesh-based panels while jet-black contrasts consume the remaining embellishments. The second pair resides in a stark juxtaposition as off-white leather overlays illuminate the upper and midsole amidst an array of blue and grey accents.
The Kiko Kostadinov x ASICS GEL-Novalis is currently scheduled to release sometime in 2024. While we await further release details, both pairs can be seen ahead in first-look imagery.
