“Lilac Bloom” Swooshes Add Spring-Ready Accents To The Nike Air Max 1

Ever since the silhouette returned to its original “Big Bubble” treatment, Nike has bestowed the Air Max 1 with a litany of compelling compositions throughout the latter half of 2023. With the Beaverton brand already looking toward next spring and summer with a drove of classic colorways, the Tinker Hatfield design will simultaneously employ this “Obsidian/Lilac Bloom” pair in the early aughts of 2024.

Building off the same crisp white mesh base layer and “Football Grey” suede quarter that have paired off across the silhouette since its 1986 inception, a contrasting set of “Obsidian” hues provide a pitch-dark juxtaposition. Stamped along the full-length overlay – opting for suede as opposed to leather – the tongue, laces, inner lining and tread, the pair’s predominant tone concludes along the heel’s Nike Air branding while sharing the sole unit with a blank white midsole. What’s more, the heel’s interior Max Air cushioning system and the profile swooshes are dressed in a complementary “Lilac Bloom” accent.

The Nike Air Max 1 “Obsidian/Lilac Bloom” is currently set to release in February of 2024 for a retail price of $140. In the meantime, the pair can be seen below in official retail imagery.

For more from the Beaverton brand, the Jordan 4 “Olive” releases on November 18th.
