Despite the wide-reaching success of its Futura counterpart, the Nike Air Max 97’s OG composition maintains a steady stream of inline releases that continues to cement the Christian Tresser design’s timeless nature. Amidst a relatively curtailed fall season, the bullet-train-inspired silhouette is planning to sweeten the pot next spring with this tonal installment of pink shades.
Begetting an unofficial Valentine’s Day theme, the low-top model enacts a slight reconstruction with a semi-translucent textile replacing the model’s typical mesh base layer. While the upper allows for a bit of creativity with your sock game, bright pink TPU overlays draw a majority of the attention boasting a glossy finish. The latter vibrant bubblegum tone concentrates further along the mid-foot swooshes and heel tab branding, contrasting the surrounding faint soft pink real estate at the full-length leather overlay and tongue construction.
