Jared Ebanks While Ja Morant and his debut signature haven’t seen much NBA action in the latter half of 2023 due to an ongoing suspension, the two-time All-Star is eyeing a late December return to the Memphis Grizzlies’ lineup. While Morant and the Grizzlies won’t make an appearance on Christmas Day, Morant and the Nike Ja 1 will be releasing in a belated “Christmas” edition the following morning.
Draping its breathable mesh upper in a vibrant clad-“Fuchsia Dream”, the titular violent shade bleeds into the smooth leather overlays via an “Emerald Rise” gradient that concentrates along the Zoom-infused midsole. Complemented by a darker “Canyon Purple” across its outsole, the upper employs a clarifying jet-black profile swoosh. Elsewhere, the model’s synonymous mismatched embellishments appear at the heel counter and tongue tabs while the insoles bear a Christmas-themed chimney that doubles as a nod to Morant’s infamous “We climb up the chimney” quote.
The Nike Ja 1 “Christmas” is tentatively scheduled to release on December 19th for a retail price of $130 USD. In the meantime, the pair can be seen ahead in detailed imagery.
