The new year is fast approaching, and with it, looks at some of 2024’s sneakers. The latest example arrives in the form of the Nike Air Force 1 Low “Layers of Love.”
While the pair’s name hasn’t been confirmed by the brand as of this writing, it makes sense upon initial review of the unreleased offering. Clad in a rich combination of reds –”Burgundy Crush/Gym Red/Team Red” – the sneaker features soft suede construction across its upper. Bruce Kilgore’s blueprint from 1983 is followed closely on the modern Air Force 1 Low, keeping all panels and components intact unlike other recent projects by the Swoosh. Overlays around the forefoot take on the punchiest shade of ruby, with the panels at the heel opting for muted takes on the Valentine’s Day-appropriate tone. The spine’s swath strangely deviates in a toxic green hue, which also takes on the sockliners.
At quick glance, the iconic sole unit underfoot indulges in a pitch-“Black” arrangement. Closer inspection, however, reveals a “Burgundy Crush” hue that’s also landed on an Air Jordan 5 by A Ma Maniére. The understated and tonal makeover complements the upper well, contributing to the “Layers” moniker. A semi-translucent finish also injects personality into the festive shoe.
Enjoy official photos of the pair ahead. The “Layers of Love” Air Force 1 is expected to hit nike.com on or by February 13th, 2024 for the price of $125 USD.
