Nike’s Pegasus 40 “Year Of The Dragon” Makes Running A Celebration

Nike’s Pegasus 40 “Year Of The Dragon” Makes Running A Celebration

While the Nike Chinese New Year collection is an annual celebration, the Beaverton brand has quickly cemented that the “Year of the Dragon” will feature an extensive amount of offerings. Appearing in well-over a dozen styles already, the celebratory roster of footwear will include a few performance toolings as well, such as the Nike Pegasus 40.

Exploring the upcoming collection’s second sport-ready silhouette – joining the teal-tined Nike Ja 1 – the “workhorse with wings” prepares a much more subdued design in contrast to its lifestyle counterparts. The clad-mesh upper is cured in a single “Sail” tint that sets the stage for a pristine blank base layer with neutral color matches anchoring the TPU quarter, tongue and laces. Set atop a crisp white React cushioned midsole, an assortment of “University Red” contrasts illuminate the flame-reminiscent profile Swooshes, tongue tabs and insoles while the medial checks arrive in a salmon pink finish, matching the uppermost eye stays.

While a release date hasn’t been shared quite yet, the Nike Pegasus 40 “Year of the Dragon” can be seen ahead in detailed imagery in the meantime.

For more upcoming releases, the Jordan 3 “Midnight Navy” releases on December 16th.
