UConn Reveals Their Exclusive Nike Kobe 8 Protro PEs

The rewards for being a Nike-sponsored Mamba Program are extensive but culminate in the form of exclusive Nike Kobe Protro models. Touching down in Durham, Lexington and Baton Rouge, the UConn Huskies basketball program has become the latest school to receive the Nike Kobe 8 Protro.

Draped in the Connecticut institution’s synonymous navy, red and white palette, the low-top trim infused with React cushioning relies upon the dark blue hue for a majority of its upper real estate. While a quick hit of black ascertains the mudguard, the profile swooshes, sole unit, inner lining and heel counter are met with a dominant crisp white fervor, contrasted by bright red sheath logos at the heel. Replicating the features of its Duke, LSU and Kentucky counterparts, UConn’s pair boasts the school’s synonymous Husky logo proudly along the left tongue tab while the right remains anchored in the background’s “University Red” accents.

The Nike Kobe 8 Protro “UConn” is exclusive to both the men’s and women’s basketball teams. Enjoy a detailed look at the pair below while we await further colorways from the final two programs; USC and Oregon.

In other Kobe-related news, the Kobe 6 Grinches release on December 15th.
