Nike Keeps The Air Max 97 Classy With A “Light Olive” Colorway

Another unintended connection to Cactus Jack emerges.

Nike Keeps The Air Max 97 Classy With A “Light Olive” Colorway

In the fall, Nike graced us with an “Olive” Air Max 97 that invoked the essence of autumn. Conversely, this upcoming pair of “Light Olive” 97s has us hoping for a short winter as the classy colorway should accentuate the freshness of springtime quite nicely.

The classy color scheme seems one reversed-swoosh away from being a pair of “Travis Scott”s. Although these “Travis Not”s won’t see as much hype as they would if they were a cactus collab, they still have a lot going for them.

Instead of the suede material found on the aforementioned “Olive” Air Maxes, Nike has fitted this pair of 97s with a leather mudguard finished in black. The insole is also black as are parts of the tongue. The upper sees hits of “Light Olive” on the mesh material as well as a thin layer of what appears to be nubuck material just above the mudguard. Aside from the gum outsole and clear air bubble, the rest of the shoe is white, including the Nike center swoosh.

We expect this sophisticated, spring-friendly take on the Nike Air Max 97 to drop early 2024 with a price tag of $170, though a release date has not yet been confirmed.
