On the more approachable end of the ASICS Sportstyle pricing spectrum is the GEL-1130, the retro runner that has flown off shelves with its $100-and-less price-point. It’s got all the ingredients that are in demand in a 2000s-era runner — breathable mesh and metallic silver overlays — so the brand’s next step with the silhouette is certainly unexpected.
On January 26th, ASICS will debut the GEL-1130 NS, a “No-Sew” iteration of the retro-inspired model. Opting for a more streamlined build via the seam-less upper construction, ASICS replaces the standard sport mesh with a durable rip-stop nylon. It’s not entirely stitch-less as the brand strike logo is actually laid above that base layer.
This trio of colorways are gathered under the “Earthenware Pack” collection, which was previously applied on the ASICS GEL-Kayano 14 and the ASICS GT-2160 NS in similar tonal fashion.
All three are set to release on ASICS on January 26th, 2024 with an MSRP around $120.
