The Elevated adidas Gazelle Indoor Arrives In “College Green” Accents

Adidas is looking to replicate the massive success of the Samba with another shoe in their deep and historic catalog. And while the Gazelle saw its share of the limelight by way of a mass-market reintroduction in 2016 as well as recent collaborations with the likes of Gucci and Sean Wotherspoon, it hasn’t reached the mainstream success as its counterpart has.

In this latest release, the adidas Gazelle Indoor sticks to a premium leather upper and toe, opting for a tumbled leather at the signature T-cap at the toe. The shoe releases in a new Cloud White/Collegiate Green/Core Black colorway, highlighted by a translucent gum sole. The smooth leather upper is home to the classic three stripes, but with a modern, two-tone twist.

As mentioned earlier, the Gazelle has some work to do to reach that true ubiquitous status, although the brand has emphasized the timeless model with creative partnerships and premium executions.

The adidas Gazelle Indoor releases on February 2nd; the MSRP is $120, $20 more than GR adidas Gazelles, likely due to the quality of materials used.
