Nike has an internal team dedicated solely towards the growth of the Dunk category. Since its resurgence in 2020, the Dunk has become a vital part of the Swoosh business, so that challenge is to deliver the now ubiquitous sneaker in fresh takes.
Nike has accomplished just that, because alongside the traditional “Retro” look, we’ve been privy to a number of different iterations that play with color schemes, material swaps, and minor add-ons as seen on this upcoming “Light Orewood Brown” release. The upper features a premium suede and a mesh material for a somewhat ordinary pairing, but it’s the Photo Blue that stands out via the piping that appears on the borders of the forefoot and heel overlay.
