Forces For The Frontier: Nike Adds Suede Tassels To The AF1

Forces For The Frontier: Nike Adds Suede Tassels To The AF1

Fans of the hit show Yellowstone have embraced the chic rancher aesthetic, with denims, tan hides, and pressed leathers adorning their garb for that head-to-toe frontiersman look. For the sneakerheads that need to round out the fit, Nike is dropping the perfect Air Force 1 for that styling.

Leveraging the classic ’82 silhouette by Bruce Kilgore, Nike adds a plethora of premium-level details that truly transform the 1980s basketball shoe into a piece of history. Full grain leather and premium appear across the upper, with a smooth caramel brown interior leather lining that is typically found on boots. The tongue is also built with cowhide, with the classic Nike Air logo debossed onto its face.

The heel reveals some intricate sewing as NIKE is stitched on in bold lettering, while the heel-stay is fixed onto the shoe with its own clay red contrast. Finishing off this late 1800’s appearance is a sail-colored midsole and a gum sole. Finally, suede tassels are fixed to the shoe’s tongue for that unmistakeable horsemen’s aesthetic.

A firm release date has yet to be announced, so peruse the gallery of images ahead and familiarize yourself with this design before we announce official drop details.
