Sneaker News Ja Morant’s 2023-2024 season will be one to forget, but he’s got plenty of time ahead in career to redeem this forgettable campaign. After missing 25 games due to a league-imposed suspension, Morant was shelved for good after going through a season-ending surgery to fix a shoulder issue that stopped an incredible comeback short.
Still, Ja’s stardom is undeniable and had he been available to play a full season as is, there’s no doubt that he’d be representing the Western Conference during the upcoming All-Star Game in Indianapolis. Nike went as far as preparing an All-Star colorway of the JA 1, revealed here in Grade School sizing. Like the other members of the Nike All-Star 2024 sneaker releases, this JA 1 utilizes the prism detailing at the fore-foot while showcasing the 2024 All-Star logo at the tongue.
The multi-colored Nike Ja 1 inspired by his “Work for the check” tweet was initially presumed to be the 2024 All-Star release as they are currently listed on release calendars for February 16th. However, given the rise of this new colorway, we may see that version drop at a later date.
