More Green Hues Drape The ASICS GEL-NYC

The ASICS GEL-NYC has transcended its New York City roots faster and with more gusto than anyone could have imagined, the Angelo Baque designed silhouette now considered among the most popular retro runners on the market due to hyped collaborations and reliable inline drops.

As the model looks to build off a promising debut year in 2023, ASICS now stocks shelves with a new “Cream/Green” colorway. Green palettes have been very kind to the GEL-NYC so far, with an upcoming collaboration with HIDDEN NY generating lots of buzz alongside well-executed GRs. The latest ASICS delivery boasts a darker shade of green compared to the hues seen on previous GEL-NYC drops, producing a contemporary look while still abiding by Y2K runner aesthetics.

The base of this new pair wears cream colored mesh, a familiar treatment for the GEL-NYC, while a mix of grey suede and reflective silver overlays appear sporadically from toe to heel. Green coloring makes its way onto the ASICS logo and back paneling, wrapping around the heel to complete the shoe.
