The freshly launched New Balance Fresh Foam BB v2 has garnered wide praise from the hooping community for obvious reasons: it’s designed exceptionally well, and it’s price reasonably. Coming in at $130, NB has one of the more approachable non-signature options on the market, and fortunately there are a slew of colorways confirmed to drop throughout the Spring and Summer season.
Here we have a first look at a sultry “Red Toe” colorway that combines a blood red suede toe-cap above a black suede upper. Immediate connections can be made to the Chicago Bulls — not for Michael Jordan, but for NB’s top athlete Zach Lavine. As the NBA star who helped launch the shoe earlier in February, Zach will be rotating several Fresh Foam BB v2 colorways throughout the remainder of the season.
The Fresh Foam BB series hasn’t gotten off to its best start as quality control issues forced the first model off the shelves for the better part of 2023. That said, the expectations surrounding the v2 sequel are much higher given the extra learnings the brand had to experience with the first round stumbles. Already, the colorways have impressed thus far, so stay tuned for more first looks at upcoming Fresh Foam BB v2 colorways.
In other NB news, the New Balance MADE In USA 2024 collection is set to kick off on February 8th.
