The ASICS GEL-Kayano line is perhaps the hottest series on the sneaker market right now, boasting a wide variety of silhouettes that regularly see daylight by way of collaborations and reliable inline drops. While ASICS and New Balance exchange blows for the Y2K-era sneaker crown, the former offers up a new GEL-Kayano 14 complete with reflective overlays and a contemporary yet vibrant palette.
The upcoming women’s pair features an eye-catching mix of cream, pepper brown, and blue coloring, with a cream mesh base making way for brown/reflective overlays. Towards the heel, the shoe embraces shiny blue paneling to match the midsole unit, while a lighter shade accentuates details on the tongue and outsole. All these intricacies combine (or GEL, rather) to produce a contemporary aesthetic while maintaining the model’s retro runner look and feel.
