Official images of an Air Max 1 from the Serena Williams Design Crew has emerged, revealing an homage to the tennis legend’s hometown city. The city of Los Angeles is cemented on the tongue label via an “LA” marker just beneath the Swoosh while also appearing on the plush velvet insoles. On the mudguard are decorative lines akin to the pin-striping seen on low-riders — a staple in LA car culture. Finally, rose gold appears via the links on the lace dubrae as well as the lace eyelets.
This Air Max 1 as well as the remaining 2024 Nike x SRDC collection will be available this Summer 2024.
