Ja Morant’s Murray State Appears On This Upcoming Nike Ja 1

The 2023-2024 season has been one to forget for the embattled Ja Morant, who after serving a long suspension for detrimental conduct was forced to miss the rest of the season due to an injury. Despite the physical and mental obstacles, Ja showed clear signs that his in-game capabilities haven’t changed as he averaged All-Star numbers while leading the Grizz to a 6-3 record.

His absence has immeasurably hurt the success of his Nike Ja 1 signature shoe as well. After a huge debut over a year ago on Christmas Day 2022, the Ja 1 quickly rose to the top of the most-wanted list, but the energy and hype paced downwards after Nike essentially ceased any marketing promotions around the their athlete. Full sizes runs of several colorways of his shoes are currently up for grabs on Nike.

Likely one of the last pairs in the Ja 1 cycle is this navy/yellow pair ostensibly inspired by his Murray State uniform. There are no clear markings that officially bond these to the mid-major school and the shade of “Light Laser Orange” is a bit lighter than what you see on their threads, but the collegiate connection seems reasonable given the upcoming NCAA Tournament.

If you’re ready to add this latest version of Ja Morant shoes to your collection, expect a drop in a few weeks for $120.
