Nike Zoom GT Hustle 2 “Est. 1972” Suits Up For March Madness

Amid their hundreds of sneakers, basketball performance has never fallen out as a top-line priority for Nike, exemplified by the continuous introduction of brand-new product lines each year. Among those unvieled in 2023, the Nike Zoom GT Hustle stands out as one endorsed by the pros, worn by All-Stars and even spawning a Victor Wembanyama specific pair. Now, with the biggest stretch in college hoops approaching, the model is getting a touch up for the occasion with the “Est. 72” pack.

Arriving alongside the two corresponding iterations of the Nike Zoom GT Cut 3 and Nike Jump 2, the “Est. 1972” Hustle 2 relies on tradition in its design. Chiefly, the tongue branding gets an old-school refresh, a collegiate “N” replacing the cursive logo these usually carry. The green and orange tones on this pair, a through line present on each of the three shoes in pack, certainly evoke a Miami Hurricanes connection.

Yet with their and Nike’s merchandise deal lapsing, it seems more likely that the pair will eventually be donned by athletes from their litany of other signed schools. The complementary white, green and orange palette employed here certainly works well regardless of any official ties, a classy combination to add some pop to your own on-court attire.

No official date has been set for the “Est. 1972” GT Hustle 2 as of writing, but a drop towards the end of the month or start of next is expected. Upon release, they will carry a retail price of $180.

In other news out of Oregon, the Supreme x Nike Air Max Dn looms as one of spring’s biggest drops.
